Preparing for an Account Executive interview at V7? Here’s a complete walkthrough of every stage, from talent call to final panel.

V7 Team
There’s something uniquely challenging about Account Executive interviews, because it can feel like you’re trying to sell yourself while also proving you can sell a product you just learned about. We get it, and we really appreciate the time you're investing in getting to know V7. We want to give you some practical insight so you can prepare in the best way possible.
At V7, we're looking for Account Executives who are genuinely curious, move fast, understand their market deeply, and care about solving real business problems.
Here's what to expect at each stage.
The Talent Call (30 minutes)
First up is a conversation with our Talent team. This is an intentionally low-pressure, mutual exploration to see if there's a fit. We’ll walk you through what V7 is building and what the role looks like day-to-day.
We want to understand what you're looking for in your next sales role and what your career goals are. Come prepared with questions about our sales motion, team structure, and culture. And if there's anything we can do to make the process more accessible or accommodate your schedule, just let us know.
The Hiring Manager Call (30 minutes)
Next, you'll speak with the Hiring Manager, Viky. This conversation digs into your sales experience, but we're not just looking for quota attainment numbers (though we do want to hear about your wins!).
What we really care about is how you understand your market, how you've built your network, and the impact you've driven. The best conversations happen when you can tell stories that show your strategic thinking. Maybe you identified a new vertical no one else was exploring, or you figured out a creative way to reach a prospect everyone thought was unreachable.
Product Use Case Challenge
Here's where things get real. We'll give you access to V7 Go and ask you to spend some time exploring it. Then, we want a short video sharing your first impressions; what excites you, potential applications you see, and areas for improvement.
This isn't about having a perfectly polished presentation. We want to see how quickly you can understand a product, identify its value, and think critically about positioning. Feel free to try using V7 Go on a small project, because the more you play with it, the better you'll understand it.
Be honest in your feedback. We want AEs who can see both the opportunity and the challenges, and who can think through how to navigate them in real sales conversations.
The Culture Round
If your product demo shows us you "get it," we'll move to the culture round. You'll have two 30-minute conversations:
Chat with Alberto (CEO & Co-Founder): Alberto wants to understand what drives you. We're looking for people with genuine agency—AEs who don't wait to be told what to do, who experiment, move quickly, and are always looking for ways to improve. Think about examples where you took initiative, found a better way to do something, or pushed through when giving up would've been easier.
Chat with an Existing AE: This is an informal stage and your chance to get the real story. What's it actually like selling V7 Go? What's working? What's hard? From our side, we want to see that you'd be a great teammate.
Panel Interview: Role Play + Strategic Planning (60 minutes)
This is where we see everything come together. You'll prepare for a role play exercise where you'll run through a sales scenario, and you'll also present your thinking on how you'd approach ramping up at V7.
For the role play, we want to see how you lead discovery conversations, uncover pain points, and guide prospects toward next steps, even when you're still learning the product. This mimics what it's actually like selling at an early-stage company.
For the strategic piece, we want to understand how you think about building pipeline, engaging prospects, and setting yourself up for success in your first few months. Show us you're the kind of person who hits the ground running.
We'll dig into both during a panel discussion. We might challenge assumptions or throw in new constraints, but this will always be collaborative, not adversarial. We want to see how you think on your feet.
What Happens Next?
After your final interview, we'll make a decision quickly. Win or lose, your Talent partner will give you honest feedback on how things went.
We know this is a lot, but here's the thing: this is genuinely what the job looks like. If you crush this process, you'll walk in confident you can handle what we'll throw at you.
We also want you to evaluate us. Is this the right team? The right product? The right opportunity? Use every conversation to figure out if V7 is where you want to be.
If you have questions at any point, ask your Talent partner. And if you haven't applied yet but this sounds like the kind of challenge you're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
