V7 and PitchBook Partner to Put Private Market Data Inside AI Workflows

3 min read

Seattle and London – August 6, 2026V7, the company behind V7 Go, and PitchBook, the private capital market intelligence platform, today announced an integration partnership. Mutual customers can connect PitchBook's data directly to V7 Go agents through PitchBook's Premium MCP Connector. A lookup that used to mean switching tabs now happens inside the workflow.

Most private equity and asset management teams keep PitchBook open in one tab and their deal documents in another. An analyst screening a new opportunity checks a company's funding history, pulls comparable deal terms, and cross-references the investor syndicate. Then copies what matters into a memo by hand. V7 Go agents can now query PitchBook directly. They match an inbound company against its funding history, benchmark a deal against comparable transactions, or check an investor's prior activity, without an analyst switching screens.

Four Ways the Data Gets Used

The integration supports four workflows already running across V7 Go's private markets customers:

  • Deal screening and scoring: score inbound opportunities against PitchBook company and deal data plus a firm's own investment thesis. Analysts spend their time on the shortlist, not the inbox.

  • Investment memo drafting: pull PitchBook comparables directly into a CIM-to-memo workflow. Benchmarking data lands in the memo without a separate research pass.

  • DDQ and diligence support: cross-check data room disclosures against PitchBook's deal and company records. Discrepancies get flagged before they reach an investment committee.

  • Portfolio monitoring: benchmark quarterly portfolio company reporting against PitchBook comps when generating tear sheets and IC commentary.

Access Follows Existing Permissions

The connector runs on PitchBook's Premium MCP Connector. Authentication happens through the same PitchBook single sign-on a firm already uses. Access to the data follows the subscription a customer already holds, not a new set of permissions to configure. Setup takes three clicks and no engineering time. Use of PitchBook data through the connector remains governed by the customer's existing PitchBook Content License Agreement.

V7 Go's own governance layer applies to any workflow that touches PitchBook data, the same as it does everywhere else in the platform. That includes SOC 2 Type II certification, role-based access control, and a full audit trail on every agent decision.

What's In the Data

PitchBook's platform covers more than 12.7 million private and public company profiles, 3.1 million deals, 634,000 investors, and 170,000 funds. Inside V7 Go, each of those fields becomes something an agent can query and compare. It works the same way as any other connected data source.

Availability

The integration is live today for mutual customers of V7 and PitchBook. Firms with an active PitchBook subscription can connect it to their V7 Go workspace directly. No separate data pipeline or custom build is required. Teams who want to see it running on their own deal flow can book a demo with V7.
