About
HITICCO is a boutique sales consulting agency that helps companies design offers, build repeatable sales processes, and open doors through research-driven cold outreach. With a lean team and a quality-over-quantity ethos, they needed a way to pre-qualify prospects deeply, without spending up to 40 minutes researching each one.
Over the past year, HITICCO has adopted V7 Go to automate the heavy lifting of sales research. We sat down with founder Paul Dickau to learn more about his journey.
The challenge
HITICCO pre-qualifies each prospect through careful research: verifying buying windows, checking solution fit, and mapping out buying centers. But this depth comes at a cost. Manual research was consuming hours per client. As the business scaled, the model quickly became unsustainable.
Recruiting more fulltime researchers was a major financial risk for a small consultancy. Paul tested automation platforms, including Clay and Zapier, but found their search capabilities shallow, inconsistent, or difficult to use.
HITICCO needed a solution that would:
Preserve its quality-first approach to prospecting.
Automate repetitive research steps without heavy engineering.
Keep costs flexible and under control.
The solution
The key feature that drew Paul to V7 Go was data enrichment with the Web Search Tool. Paul found Go significantly more accurate and comprehensive than competitors, providing far deeper context before outreach.
"As a company, we want to do a lot of research before we call someone," he said. "The feature that maps to that is the V7 Go web search tool. That thing is sweet. It’s actually the best search agent that I’ve seen compared to other tools."
But that was only the beginning. As Paul dug deeper into Go, he discovered a range of features that accelerated his workflow and opened new automation possibilities:
Single-select properties & filters: Enabled the team to quickly break down large lists. As Paul says, “I think that's probably one of the best features. If you want to save time and cost, just throw a bunch of companies in there and just filter out all the ones that don't fit. You can shave off 30% of useless outreach that way.”
Web crawler: Allowed the team to analyze live websites through URLs. For one client targeting Shopify stores, HITICCO used V7 Go to automatically check if stores were live and updated, instantly pruning outdated or inactive prospects.
Content repurposing: Clients send Paul their brochures and product materials, which he then uploads into V7 Go. The system answers a structured set of questions and exports the insights, giving Paul ready-made inputs for creating emails, landing pages, and other marketing assets.
Onboarding as a self-serve user with no technical background, Paul found getting started straightforward. He was able to begin building agents from scratch within 20 minutes.
Paul also valued the enterprise Bring Your Own API Key (BYOK) option, which gave him cost control and transparency compared to competitors’ rigid token models.
The results
The impact was immediate. With V7 Go handling the heavy manual lifting, HITICCO reduced its research burden dramatically. Paul's team could spend fewer hours qualifying companies and redirect their time toward higher value work.
"You can quote me on this. Nobody's going to believe it, but… people are always looking for a killer AI use case, right? The magic pill. And this is one of those. It will allow you to eliminate 90, 98% of the manual work."
Paul no longer needed to rush into hiring a new researcher. By extending the productivity of his current team with V7 Go, he deferred an expensive headcount decision and maintained agility.
“Let the robots do the robot work and let the humans do the human work, right? There’s no point in hiring a person and treating them like a robot. Hire a person to do, in our case, cold calls that actually mean something and build genuine connection with people,” Paul said.
Looking ahead, HITICCO plans to deepen its use of V7 Go across research and sales operations. With its philosophy of “human-friendly automation,” the agency will continue to let AI handle rote work, while its team focuses on creativity, strategy, and client relationships.
And when Paul considers expanding headcount, his first step will stay the same: “Whenever I think about hiring, I first try to do it in V7 Go.”
